The first year in college for Interior Design, I felt one of the best lessons learned is how to search the internet. There are so many inspirations and with Pinterst, it allows you to collect and organize your finds (pins) in folders. I first heard of Pinterest via designer, Nate Burkus. I've been hooked ever since! Here are a few of my favorite pins from a variety of folders (boards).

This has been hard! I have a ton more, but did not want to put you into overload!
My morning started with a trip to the Baybrook area. You know, I can not begin to tell you in this blog what listening to heart felt music can do. In my car this morning on Youtube via my car speakers, music completely filled the atmosphere. My nephew, posted this yesterday and it is truly one of those kind of songs that is awesome. Yes, October is a month I will NEVER forget when real CHANGE came to me and my entire family. The church had been praying for our family for years. Spring of this late 1960's year drew my family to an altar of prayer and commitment to God that we will forever be grateful literally through eternity! October of that same year was my day when God completely filled me with His Spirit and my life was transformed. Since, marrying a preacher husband and committing the best years of my life to ministry, I have never looked back! This coming Sunday my hubby will be speaking at Life Family Church in Cypress. We are looking forward to it. I am thankful for a new job that came to me today for a whole house completion of a renovation in Friendswood. While shopping today, I always look out for unique coffee cups that brings one of my favorite moments of my daily coffee ritual to a new level. I found a sweet little cup that caught my eye. This is one of those small things that shines a little light to my day. Tonight, left over roast prepped in some fresh gravy beefed up from the original drippings, with fresh carrots in a butter/brown sugar sauce and steamed rice. I got to try out a new restaurant while out today, Blaze Pizza. It was a nice change and yummy! I was hungry and decided to stop there to go over my to do list and get a bite rather than my normal Starbucks stop. Good choice. Got to see my sweet little Jack today and take care of him while "mom" had a little errand to run. Pure sweetness! We'll share a "today" shot Hannah got him as I did not take one this time.
A Change Is Going To Come

Today's focus was getting in gear for India. Marketplace happening this coming week end and a lot to do to get ready. First stop was Kast Fabrics where we got fabric and down inserts for 6 throw pillows. Ahhh, that took some time. It was a hard decision trying to guess what people would want to buy.
Another stop and found a few more things that should work and the India flavor is starting to come to surface.
If you are reading this and would like to be a part of Marketplace, I would love your help. I have several one hour spots that are open on Saturday and Sunday's world market times, then shop at all of the other markets and enjoy flavors and shopping from around the world!
This morning began with 2 new jobs in text messages. Thankful.
Tonight I actually had a fried food dinner which I can not tell you when I have done that, but the mood for fried catfish just really sounded good and I think I actually impressed my hubby, along with homemade french fries.
My brother, Kenny Walston, is bass player at his church and has played in a few bands. This is him in the red shirt. He and this band does a neat set where they each individually record their segment of the song and music and a master mixer producer puts it all together. As you can tell by me trying to explain it I am pretty clueless of how it's done. Anyway, I am impressed and thought you all may enjoy it and... I get a chance to brag and show off my brother and his talent. : )
Here is a sneak peak at one of the fabrics we chose today:
Catch me while I'm on it! Want a global inspired room?? We are on overload trying to pull ideas for this event and would love to do a room like this one in a room makeover for some lucky person.
It was rainy when leaving for church this morning but by the time we left the building to go home, the weather was brisk and cool. Love! Abbey and I arrived a bit early so I could play the piano in the Connections Class as TCT new members arrived for a savory breakfast, coffee and juice. We were blessed with a missionary and family today from Malaysia. He shared several clips of miraculous healings in India and places they have ministered. Any time God moves in our church, I always want to give God a chance to touch my husband, healed of MS but still left disabled in a power chair. We know in God's time, his walking will be restored. Bishop Glass and his wife, Joan prayed for him. It was so beautiful to see love and compassion right before your eyes. Then, the missionary prayed for him. We are blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives! Thank you Beverly Seale for offering your time to meet with me and help set up for our India booth for the World Marketplace next week end. And thanks to all other ladies who have signed up to help us during the event. It is also great to have Amber Logan heading up this entire event. Her support means a lot just knowing she is there to pick up any loose ends. Lunch today at Jimmy Changas Deer Park. It's decor is inspiring. It gets me jealous that I did not think of all of those design ideas. It's a ten on my scale. Well done! The food is also excellent. Abbey enjoyed some play time with her cousin, Isaiah. Pictured, a crazy selfie she made with my phone at Jimmy Changes.
Astrosare on the minds of Houstonians, at least those we hear screaming joyfully in the back grounds of our lives. Aaron, coming in from outside even can hear fans watching the game in their garage man caves. Winning is a great feeling even for fans. Me: waiting to watch a recorded version of the Houston Rockets. Gotta say, I think we indeed hit a "home run" today with our clients' love for our selections for their Harvey damaged home. Already on the mend by Old Crow Renovations with construction and demo already cleared out, we are moving in with the beauty. This couple is expecting their 2nd child and is now so excited to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I can hardly wait to see the end results. While passing 1960, stopped off and found 2 end tables for our patio project. High five! While on I45, we headed down to Clear Lake Regional to see a sweet lady in our Heartstrings Ministry Ladies Group. I am not good at hospital visits, but after being in the hospital myself this past Spring, I have a new appreciation for someone stopping by even if its just a brief time, which is preferred. Dinner tonight for my cravings for Italian cuisine at Olive Garden. Now, moving on to an important project, clearing my schedule next week for World Market happening next week end. A little happy spot in my day... yes! we were right! We now have a new Starbucks about 5 minutes from us on Fairmont Parkway.

Puttering around the house until my little bundle arrived for MeMe to babysit. I have looked forward to my little Jack Louis to arrive while Mommy had some "me" time.
OMG, can he get any cuter?? I know it's coming from me, but he is one sweet perfect baby. We got to feed him some baby food and bottles and change some pretty serious diapers. : /
Looking forward to an 11:00 a.m. presentation in Kingwood in the morning. We completed all of the presentation and ready to roll. Fingers crossed, they will love it!
Super happy that Kast Fabrics is donating fabric for 6 pillows in any fabric of my choice PLUS down inserts. We will make these to sell at our upcoming World Marketplace at the Church Triumphant this coming weekend, the 28th and 29th, If you would like to place your order now for 2 of them, let me know your color preference or send a photo of your space and we will pick a color for you, surprise! I am thinking of $20. per pillow as custom pillows sell for several hundred dollars and even good ones at stores like ZGallerie sell for $89. Your thoughts please. I will show a photo of some of my favorite designs that would go with a lot of people's stuff.
Tonight, Roast, Rice and gravy and spinach. Just topped it off with a pinnaple/coconut smoothie with a ton of healthy stuff in it. Delish.
Just a worthy note: Houston Rockets games are starting off extremely exciting. Playing the most difficult team on their first real game resulted in an EXCITING end with the Rockets winning at the last second of the game. Last season we were blessed to get free front row court side seats at a New Orleans game, enjoyed with my brother, Kenny and his wife, Missy.

This fabric retails for about $60. a yard so someone will get a great deal and,
After I wrote my blog post last night, we actually did a lot more work before the night was done. I am somehow better at night and my thoughts clear and I start prepping for my next day or week. So when I am not an early riser, as my husband is, it's because I can't go to sleep until I have my priorities in place the night before. We are exact opposites. He has the ability to go to sleep and wake early and get his necessary work done that is time sensitive. When he went to college and taught classes at a Christian school, he was up super early to do his lesson plans, study and create whatever handouts he needed before leaving. Me: I can not sleep if I had that hanging over my head! I would be creating those handouts in my head, worrying I would not get it all done in time, etc. So that being said, I had a late night. Finally, getting the tall ladder out of the garage, a big deal for me, I got all the light bulbs replaced in my office motivating me to get a lot done. Had I done that one day before, I could have raised my hand when pastor asked at church last night if anyone I had unexpected $ come to me. I found a check I did not remember having! Today, I worked on completing color solutions for a home to go with flooring, etc. I can not reveal yet as I have not had my presentation with my client yet. It's a bit different from any other projects. Fingers crossed they will love it as much as me. Listening to my clients, I think I have nailed it. Pictured is a new leather 3 ring binder that matches my logo and has kept me organized. I keep all jobs that I am presently working on along with an ongoing to do list for each job. Tonight, Abbey is with us. Per her request, I made her favorite dish that I make, chicken and rice casserole. I will share the recipe. She surprised me by setting the table. We loved it! She was proud of herself. She ate her food and then was able to enjoy her cookie dough ice cream for dessert.
Chicken and Rice Casserole
Via Jan Madden
Boil chicken tenders in water with 2 bouillon cubes till tender
Pour2 cups of instant rice into a 9x12 casserole dish
With the hot broth from cooked chicken, add about 2 1/2 cups of the broth
Let chicken cool a little then cut into bit size pieces
Add the chicken, 1 small can of mushroom, stems and pieces and 1 small can of green chilies along with about 3/4 of a bag of grated sharp cheddar cheese, 2 cup size bag.
Mix together and arrange evenly in dish
Top off with the rest of the grated cheese and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes or until all cheese is melted and getting a little brown.
Just be sure there is enough broth to make it not too dry, but not soupy.
Note: I used about 6 or 7 tenders. This recipe is great for a budget. It's an easy one to stretch if you don't have a lot of meat or if you like it more meaty, you can add more.
