Day 30: Gotta Love Black and White

I have found a lot of people opt for black and white because they are afraid of color.  The truth is, if you genuinely love black and white and monochromatic, it can really be a
classy look once done right.  Here are some photos to inspire you.

This is a home I did loving black and white.

The living room.

Another young couple that opted for monochromatic, black and white.

Below is a black and white office area for a recent client.

Black and white can encourage fabulous touches of color and texture.

It's pretty amazing how fabulous black or white can look when you get it right.  Try some black tights or paint a white room for a clean slate.  We are here to help.
Oh, and we can help you pick the perfect white. Winky face.

Good Night.

Day 29: Cypress, Texas

This month!!  It's almost gone.  Now after this Tuesday it always feels like a land slide to Christmas.

I normally do not like to take jobs for Christmas decor but this year I have had 2 request that I hope to allow and hope it brings some cheer to others.

I love decorating my own home and giving my talents and love this time of year to my family and close friends.  Nothing warms the home any more than family and friends in your home and reminisce all the good things of the whole year.

Today, my husband was asked to speak in Cypress, Texas at Life Family Church.  This is a church that I helped design from the ground up choosing all flooring, paint, lighting and decor plans.  We will be helping them again this year with some details in an area or two.  I have to say, sitting in pastor's office before the service, the colors were so pretty and even though the budget has not allowed them to do the finishing touches of styling with comfy seating in the entry and vignettes, it is still a very pretty facility.  We were so happy to have helped birth this dream for them.

Tonight, I restyled my living room.  I feel so much better when my own spaces are fresh.

I did not get to see that little Jack today but I will share a favorite pic from Hannah's Facebook wall.

This week we kick off with contractor Sam Frank, a project we are doing all of the interior design work for.

Then, later in the week we will meet with a brand new client for a whole house renovation styling.

Pastor Joseph Camarillo, Life Family Church

In love their clean and modern approach.  Their aesthetics are modern industrial with classic.

And now a little peak at Jack Louis.  He's such a little cutey!

Have a blessed, safe week!

India! and the world!

Day One at TCT's World Market was a huge success!  Food from around the world and tons of shopping!  I am featuring just India in this post as it was the one we worked with.  Thanks to all who helped work in this area and those who preparred and help decorate and cook.  The Fruit Salada (white fresh fruit punch) was FABULOUS!  If you did not get a taste, please do so tomorrow.  We offered small samples because we knew you would love and want a whole cup.  My fav!  Event continues tomorrow following our morning service.  Come and enjoy your lunch with us.

Day 27: Oh Happy Day!

Where else can you find 2 people equally excited to find a big autumn leave and find it photo worthy but in Houston?  This large leave blew in the door when I came in this shop, Posh Life.  I loved it and felt it just added to the atmosphere of the day.  When the sales person followed me to the door, she picked it up to admire it and I snapped a pic.

Love, love, loving this weather!  Had to pull out a sweater wrap although I did not actually use it but it sure looked cute.  lol

I convinced Gary to go with me to a trip to Montrose area then have lunch at Le Peep in University Village.  I was so happy to find Posh Life offering to the trade prices I can add to my vendor list for clients.  I will share some of my favs.

Fall in Houston!

Awesome Art!

So LOVE this art piece!!  Someone, please, lets design an entire room with this piece of art!

Have a great weekend!!  Don't Forget the World Market, 1030 Strawberry Road, Pasadena, Texas  beginning 12:00 tomorrow!

SUBAH RATRI!

Day 27: Sad News and Some Good News

The good news is we are staged and ready for this weekend's event.  You are so invited to come and enjoy (especially) food from around the world.  We personally will have new dishes each day, 2 of them are actually authentic Indian foods.  I am so anxious to smell the aromas and taste the curry and Indian spices.  The fellowship hall was booming tonight and a lot of excitement is happening to put the final touches on our countries we are all representing.

The sad news is my 87 year old mother fell in the back yard as she loves to work in her yard, keeping it perfect.  Her right upper arm joint is broken and they are not wanting to operate and fix it as it would be risky for her age.  It is not a simple fracture.  Please pray for her to get a healing or for the doctors to have wisdom and help her in the way that is best for her.  It's going to be hard on her as she stays very active.

Today I got out my sewing machine.  I am surprised I even remembered how to thread it and I noticed seeing the hole for threading the needle just keeps getting more bleak!  : /  But all in all I am pretty proud of myself for a pretty much well done project making 3 of the 6 pillows that will be for sale out the India Market.  We're sharing some photos.  So, START SHOPPING!!

I just ran out of my awesome smelling hair conditioner and now will also try the shampoo.  Have you tried this product?  The scent is wonderful!

Consider this your invitation to the Saturday and Sunday event at the Church Triumphant.  The details are in the flier I am posting tonight.

Thank you Beverly Seale, floral designer and very talented lady for working with me on everything!!

Good Night!!

Day 26: Want Some Inspirations?

The first year in college for Interior Design, I felt one of the best lessons learned is how to search the internet.  There are so many inspirations and with Pinterst, it allows you to collect and organize your finds (pins) in folders.  I first heard of Pinterest via designer, Nate Burkus.  I've been hooked ever since!  Here are a few of my favorite pins from a variety of folders (boards).
